I have been really drawn to To THE FOG by Jukan Tateisi
The piece bought loss very close to home and I felt that I wanted to develop and recall a similar experience in my life where I bring words, images and collected sounds together to acknowledge this life changing time in my world. I was particularly lulled in when the birds were flying and I can recall a very similar expereince on leaving spain following the death of my Dad in 2020.

Stating he uses "He observes the ontological land/soundscape in the x reality epoch through vernacular installation works using artificial neural network, multi-channel audio system, field recording, architectural approach, delegated performance, curatorial approach and photography."
So to understand the influences on this artist, it is important to delve deeper into the meanings of the above...

“I'll do an exhibition. Check it out.”
“Cool. Is it gonna be offline or online?”
Online exhibition is going to be one of the standard institutes, and there might going to be explanation about if it is online or offline.
Standing by the world of online exhibitions, this work explores a way of online exhibition as a sub theme. To make exhibition online, there are 3 major ways to do so.
Which are 1. transplant the physical exhibition,
2. create the virtual exhibition, or
3. hybrid. Also, viewing methods should hold A. public viewing, and B. intervention . This work will experiment some of them.
In the first half of the period, the work will take a viewing way of public viewing, which is that audience view the work through Youtube Live.
They will watch and listen to the sound that the artists wrote / curated. In the second half, It is planned to the interventions.
The artists will create a collaborative playlist on an existing music platform such as Apple Music or Spotify, and audience will listen to the music through adding their wishing track on the playlist. It is, so to speak, an online juke box.
"I will exhibit it next time, so please watch it."
"Isn't it offline? Online?"
From now on, online exhibitions will become one of the standard systems, and the details of the exhibition may also include whether it is online or offline. In front of the world of online exhibitions that is expanding in front of you, this work explores the form of a certain online exhibition as a back theme.
The online exhibition can be broadly divided into
1. transplantation of physical exhibition space,
2. creation of virtual exhibition, or
3. combination of these.
As for the viewing method, A. public viewing type and B. work intervention type can be considered at this time. (The range will be expanded by many experiments in the future)
This work will partially experiment from these.
The first half of the session will be
A. Public viewing type. This is a method in which each viewer watches the Youtube Live distribution.
A writer or a sound source curated by a writer reverberates from an acrylic speaker and is viewed.
In the latter half of the session, we plan to shift to the
B. work intervention type.
We are planning an online jukebox that creates and shares public playlists on existing music platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify, and when viewers freely add music, they flow out of the acrylic speaker in sequence."

In the past 18 months I have written more, mainly reflections, some poetry, some prose as a means to communicate external to myself those feeling in that moment, an outlet of stream of consciousness, an escape in an effort to understand.
In recognition of those emotions, the grief.
In the first instance I sought out the writings. I tend to write them and then put them away, like captured thoughts in a jar. The experience was mixed. I don't tend to reveal them. They are mine and sharing them is a brave and vulnerable place to be. And not something that i externalise. My creative piece ( 750words ) will be in response from the Sea, the wind and the sky. The piece aligns with my CIAE and continues the subject matter.
